چکیده

This paper presents a class of new second-order accurate (IK + 3)-point explicit schemes for the computation of weak solutions of hyperbolic conservation laws, that are total-variation-diminishing under a CFL restriction of K. These highly nonlinear schemes are obtained by applying a nonoscillatory first-order accurate (IK + l)-point scheme to a modified flux. The so-derived second-order accurate schemes achieve high resolution, while retaining the robustness of the original first-order accurate scheme.

Protection Scheme of Power Transformer Based on Time–Frequency Analysis and KSIR-SSVM

The aim of this paper is to extend a hybrid protection plan for Power Transformer (PT) based on MRA-KSIR-SSVM. This paper offers a new scheme for protection of power transformers to distinguish internal faults from inrush currents. Some significant characteristics of differential currents in the real PT operating circumstances are extracted. In this paper, Multi Resolution Analysis (MRA) is use...

A total variation diminishing high resolution scheme for nonlinear conservation laws

In this paper we propose a novel high resolution scheme for scalar nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws. The aim of high resolution schemes is to provide at least second order accuracy in smooth regions and produce sharp solutions near the discontinuities. We prove that the proposed scheme that is derived by utilizing an appropriate flux limiter is nonlinear stable in the sense of total varia...

Development of a High-Resolution Time Conservative Finite Volume Method for Large Eddy Simulation

high-resolution time conservative two dimensional flow solver has been developed and validated for inviscid and viscous flows. The method is based on a multiblock structured grid. The space-time conservation element and solution element discretization scheme, second-order in space and time, is employed. Several cases with a wide range of flow conditions have been computed to verify the accuracy...

Discrimination of Power Quality Distorted Signals Based on Time-frequency Analysis and Probabilistic Neural Network

Recognition and classification of Power Quality Distorted Signals (PQDSs) in power systems is an essential duty. One of the noteworthy issues in Power Quality Analysis (PQA) is identification of distorted signals using an efficient scheme. This paper recommends a Time–Frequency Analysis (TFA), for extracting features, so-called "hybrid approach", using incorporation of Multi Resolution Analysis...

Finite Element Methods on Very Large, Dynamic Tubular Grid Encoded Implicit Surfaces

The simulation of physical processes on interfaces and a variety of applications in geometry processing and geometric modeling are based on the solution of partial differential equations on curved and evolving surfaces. Frequently, an implicit level set type representation of these surfaces is the most effective and computationally advantageous approach. This paper addresses the computational p...
